Group Exercise Instructor, Per Diem

Hiring Group Exercise/Aqua Instructor for all fitness classes; Zumba, Indoor Cycling, Boxing, Bootcamp and more.

 

Schedule may vary: 5:30am - 11:30am & 4:30pm - 7:30pm

SUMMARY: The role of a Group Exercise Instructor is a part time position, whose main objective is to teach a safe, effective, fun and interesting (in that order) exercise class to a group of students. Must be able to teach and motivate ages 15-100, while being current with a CPR certification. Certifications for other classes may be required (examples but not limited to: Zumba, Spinning, TRX and Yoga). A minimum of 5 years teaching experience required. Must have a willingness and desire to be part of a team environment.

 

Duties include but are not limited to:

- Developing relationships with all members, regardless if it is a class participant or not

- Participating and assisting with facility events

- Staying up-to-date on group fitness/Aqua trends specific to the class that you teach, while keeping exercise routines fresh and exciting

- Understanding how to use group exercise/water equipment pertinent to your class and assisting members, regardless if it is class participant or not, when needed

- Assisting with keeping the group fitness studios/pool area organized and clean, providing stretching, strengthening and overall relaxation to the client. Must have a willingness and desire to be part of a team environment-

- Communicating to the membership, all upcoming events, membership specials and new classes when needed

- Creating and executing ideas on how to increase your student base

- Committing to checking work email a minimum of once a day

- Reports to Fitness Director
