Summary: Responsible for order placement, picking & packing orders, tracking stockroom usages and preparation of paper work for materials and supplies used at the Jewish Home.

Reports To: Purchasing Coordinator

Titles Supervised: N/A

Schedule: Days/37.5 hours



Essential Responsibilities:

1.Create and place orders with JSS's Vendors to restock Central Supply with items in appropriate levels to maintain par levels and meet the changing needs of the Households

2.Maintain Med/Surg Forms and shipping records by utilizing the Medprocure program.

3.Process purchase orders, packing slips and invoices with the intent of creating a paper trail that can be audited.

4.Review, develop and place weekly Medprocure's Orders for the stockroom and households.

5.Receive all merchandize delivered by JSS' Vendors, UPS, FedEx or Common Carriers.

6.Maintain department logs to reflect the items received and delivered daily by the Purchasing Department.

7.General Office related duties such as filing and data entry. Communicate with the Households and Departments utilizing emails and telephones.

8.Keep all purchasing areas secure and organized.

9.Responsible for assigning tasks to Volunteers working in the Purchasing Department.

10.Other related duties as assigned.



Minimum Qualifications:

Education:High School Diploma or GED

Experience:1-2 years related office experience preferred but not required.

Licensure: None

Physical and Mental Requirements:

Position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, crouching and the ability to push, pull, lift, lower and carry heavy packages/objects up to 40 lbs. Position requires strong oral and written communication skills as well as a strong concentration to detail.
